Science is different from any other subject. In order to understand its concepts, one has to look beyond the books and conventional classroom teaching. Effective teaching and learning of Science involve seeing, handling, and manipulating real objects and materials.
The knowledge that kids attain in classrooms would be ineffectual unless they actually observe the process and understand the relationship between action and reaction. Because of this reason, we have established a state of an art Science Lab that helps our students conduct experiments based on the learnings which they have received in the classrooms.
At Sharda World School, we believe that laboratory teaching and experiments that are being conducted help in encouraging deep understanding among children. Students are able to retain the knowledge for longer when they see the experiments being performed in front of their eyes. The lab has a seating capacity of 40 students, and all experiments related to physics, biology, and chemistry can be conducted here.
The Social Science lab is an activity room for student-teachers, where they combine the academic experience with worldly knowledge, thereby making learning effective and fun. This lab provides children various options to increase their cognitive & cooperative learning and also expands their awareness about their surroundings.
Students learn to investigate how Social Science is embedded in our everyday lives. Our students enrich their understanding and learn to analyze how evidence and data are used to help solve global issues. By doing so, we are not only helping students understand the world around them but are also creating a bigger picture for their goals. The Social Science Lab is well furnished with a seating capacity of 40 students which provides them enough Space to conduct role-playing, visualization, competing/cooperating, problem-solving, or focus group discussions.
Mathematics laboratory is a place where anybody can experiment and explore patterns and ideas. It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning materials. The materials are meant to be used by the students on their own and with their teacher to explore the world of mathematics.
The lab also helps students discover, learn and develop an interest in the subject which is most feared by all. The activities create interest among students or in anybody who wants to explore and test some of their ideas and beliefs about mathematics. The core of solving any problem in this world is via mathematics, and hence, this lab has been established to ensure that our students are developing a problem-solving aptitude from a young age.
The 21st century is the era of digital skills. There are ample opportunities in the fields of Data Analysis, Web Designing, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and many more. In order to ensure our students are getting the best foundation for developing their careers in these fields, we have created the best facility in Agra in the form of our Computer laboratory.
We have created Senior and Junior Computer Labs, which are well equipped with over 70 computers, scanners, printers, up-to-date software, and a variety of peripherals aiding students with ample work area and freedom to work with ease. They are designed based on the principles of the earth element, which focuses on building the foundation of every student.
Besides the Computer classes, it is the hub for several interdisciplinary activities organized in the school. There is a wide platform for our children to not only explore IT frontiers as a subject but to ingeniously explore and make forays into IT-supported art mediums in the field of designing, photography, and movie making.
Teaching Robotics in schools gives students the opportunity to address the growing demand for STEM subjects while learning how Science, engineering, math, and technology work and interact together. When students program physical robots, it becomes easier for them to understand the intricacies and capabilities of robotics.
They learn the skills needed to create precise and accurate instructions and have fun while learning valuable lessons. By keeping this philosophy in mind, we have created our Robotics lab, which helps our students to understand how to build a robot from scratch and then program it to perform any possible action. This makes the students confident about the fact that they can figure out an actionable solution to a problem of society.
This thought process is aligned to the philosophy of Air, where we help our students figure out the direction in which they would like to take their lives. Aligning their goal with a problem is essential for having a stronger pull but involving them in this lab's activity gives them the confidence that it can be achieved.
We at Sharda World School understand that in order to be ready to solve problems around the world, every child should have an expert level of proficiency in English communication. Being the most widely spoken language in the world, it's extremely important for kids to get a stronghold of the language. English Language Lab is an audio-visual installation that is used to teach the English language with modern teaching methods.
The installation involves multimedia computers for teachers and students, a digital teaching system, headphones with a microphone, and elaborate language software. An English Language Lab offers a result-oriented approach to improve students' verbal and written English with a number of interactive exercises. Students can enhance their proficiency in the language by sharing their progress, engaging in group discussions, performing audio-visual exercises, and monitoring their growth.
